There's been a little change of plans.
A couple months ago, the people from the organization I'm going to Costa Rica with asked me if they could place me somewhere similar to an orphanage if the orphanage placements filled up. I said "yes," and here's where God started shaking things up...
I just got my official placement information this week, and here is what I will be doing this summer:
I will be volunteering with El Rostro de Maria, a non-profit organization that provides services to:
-Women with children who were abandoned or abused by their husbands
-Children under 12 who come from broken homes or whose parents struggle with alcoholism or drug abuse
-People over 60 living at or below the poverty level
I will be doing programs with nutrition, education for the women, spiritual guidance, and the list goes on.

happy birthday and congratulations on the shift in assignments for this summer. sounds like just your bag. it should prove to be a blessed summer for everyone involved.
